2026’s Winner: Stella
The search to find Rochester’s “Top Pet!”
Thank you to everyone that submitted a pet or voted in the 6th annual Roc Top Pet Contest. We had 85 pets entered in the contest ranging from dogs, cats, chickens, parrots and even an axolotl! The 2026 Rochester Top Pet is Stella! Stella is a VSAS alumni with floppy ears, crazy zoomies, and is the neighborhood squirrel patrol. In the six years of this contest, $225K has been raised for pets in need in the community with $36K being raised in 2026. Why feature one, when we can feature the top 14 in the Verona Street Animal Society 2027 calendar. Which month will your pet be!?! After the contest closes, the top 14 pets will be notified to come in for a mini photo shoot in which that photo will be used in the VSAS calendar. Each winner will receive a complimentary calendar.
The calendar is a VSAS fundraiser. Purchase your calendar NOW and it will be shipped to you or available for pick up at the shelter when they are ready!
